Overview

Pishpirik is a 3D multiplayer mobile card game inspired by the beloved Albanian and Balkan card game tradition of the same name. Developed by Pishpirik LLC, the app brings an authentic, culturally rich experience to iOS and Android — preserving a generational pastime while connecting diaspora communities around the globe through competitive, social gameplay.

As Co-Founder and COO, I led business operations, UX strategy, investor relations, and go-to-market planning — working alongside CEO and game creator Arrit Gashi to bring the game from concept to a live alpha product.

The Problem

Traditional cultural card games are vanishing from younger generations as digital entertainment dominates their time. For the global Albanian community — 7–8 million people across Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, the US, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland — Pishpirik exists today only as a kitchen-table game with no quality digital equivalent.

The Solution

Pishpirik brings the game to mobile with faithful mechanics, 3D immersive environments, real-time multiplayer, social features, and a rich cosmetic economy — giving the community a reason to stay connected and compete.

Authentic Gameplay

Full rules preserved: trick-taking, Jack sweeps, Pishpirik bonuses, and a 25-point win condition — exactly as the game has been played for generations.

Real-Time Multiplayer

1v1 and 2v2 modes against friends or random opponents with low-latency servers and in-match chat, emotes, and preset messages.

3D Customizable Rooms

Immersive game environments players can personalize with card backs, effects, and avatar cosmetics — creating a unique competitive identity.

Social & Community

Friends list, player invitations, leaderboards, and a ranking system that rewards consistent skill with exclusive rewards.

How to Play

Players use a standard deck. A randomly chosen first player places three cards face-down and one face-up on the table; each player holds four cards. When a played card matches a table card's rank, the player collects all table cards. Jacks sweep the entire table automatically.

Scoring (25 pts to win)

  • Aces, Queens, Kings, Jacks, Tens — high value cards
  • 10♦ worth 2 pts · 2♣ worth 1 pt
  • 27+ cards in hand = 3 bonus pts

Pishpirik Bonus

  • Match a card on an empty table
  • Normal Pishpirik = 10 pts
  • Jack Pishpirik = 15 pts

XP & Progression

  • Win = +10 XP · Pishpirik = +5 XP each
  • Early exit = XP penalty
  • 3 exits = automatic level loss
